Introduction

A podcast that talks about how Asian Americans feel about African Americans. After the Civil War, the model minority myth was created for Asian Americans, and they were stereotyped as successful, but in reality, the myth was to make Asian Americans stand above African Americans, since white supremacy wanted to make a wedge between both communities. The myth made Asian Americans and African Americans pit against each other, and anti-Blackness grew more with people telling Asian Americans to avoid them and to talk badly about them, and the white supremacy made things worse. With solidarity against anti-Blackness, Asian American communities and Black communities stood up for each other, and anti-Blackness slowly went away. Anti-Blackness in Asian Americans is a good topic since it's overlooked, and some people don't know that both communities were against each other. This podcast discussion will show the history of Asian Americans within African Americans; three college students, named Trin, Cyrus, and Stevie, will be discussing anti-Blackness within Asian Americans with multiple sources and videos, including the Sinners movie, to discuss this matter.
